Oh to be able to "Return to Innocence"
Just to be able to look at each new morning
as a new day a new adventure.
To wake up and believe in your heart and soul
that everything and everyone is just as pure and
innocent as you are at this very moment.
But then reality sets in and you remember
that the world is not so pure,
not so innocent as you wish it to be.

Why must people be so cruel
Why must people hurt one another
Why must they Lie cheat steal or abuse each others love and friendships

Its the sad truth about human nature
An eye for an eye.
Can we not see what we are doing to each other
Maybe not but the time is here and now
Its time to "Return to our Innocence"
Time to release all the anger and hate that time
has installed in us
Time to begin anew
Time to wake up and be reborn
Time to feel the mornings as our new beginnings
our new adventures
Time to allow love, honesty, trust and comfort
back into our hearts
Time to send away hate, discontent, jealousy
and mistrust away from our hearts

Then and only then will we all begin to
"Return to our Innocence"
Back to the days of happiness and laughter.
Then and only then will we be complete within ourselves
Complete in our lives and to come full circle back again
To "Return to our Innocence"
