In my mind I can still see myself,
Running to you for comfort & care
As I come to you, my heart opens up,
Learning to love, if only I dare.
Not the love of romance,
But rather the love of two who understand,
The simple things we feel from the heart.

Others can not understand,
For they have not felt the rhythmic beating
Of our hearts, as we share parallel lives.
For you are me & I am you, caring & sharing,
While others would say their goodbyes,
But not for us, we can not part as such.

You say that I am a true friend, yet the truth is greater.
For it is our friendship & love that is as pure,
Pure as the white of snow.
It took time to see that this kind of love,
Is on a higher plane as we continue to grow.

You have seen with your heart my anger, tears, & my pain
Yet you always forgive, loving me as I am,
Accepting me always, just the way I am over & over again.
When I am weak, you are strong,
Just as I am strong when you ae weak.

For we have a bond of friendship,
Call it what you may
That is a connection of the heart,
That so many try to find.
Giving & sharing together, With a love that is from above,
Is what will show others, that we are as we were ment to be
True friends from the heart, for always & forever.

There isn't a great passion that others are trying to make it into,
Yet the passion is there, as we feel & share with our minds.
It is a passion & a love that is not clouded with emotions,
or ties that bind us in any way.
But yet, I will always be your friend as you will be mine.

In my mind, I can now see you,

Knowing that I will give to you always
Knowing that I won't ask for anything in return
For my heart has opened up, learning to love,
In a pureness that is shared,
In our bond of friendship.

I just have to say
to all the people who can't
or choose not to believe
that men & women can be true friends
without being connected together as a couple,
you are so wrong.
One day you will find that special friendship
and then and only then will you truly understand
what "Pure Friendship" really is.
Maybe then you won't try to judge
or miss judge people that are good friends
and not try to do whatever you can to hurt them.
